Getting started is simple, get started in minutes.

Access EMI Central

  • Log in to your broker portal to get started.
  • This is where you’ll begin every enrollment.

  • Start enrollment from your dashboard and complete the application with your client.

  • Your broker information is automatically applied when you begin in EMI Central.

Getting Started

Onboarding & System Access
Once appointed, you’ll receive a welcome email with your EMI Central login credentials and setup instructions. Watch this video to learn about EMI Central, your broker administration portal.

 

If you have been previously appointed, and did not receive portal access, please email: individualsales@emihealth to request access.

 

Enroll Clients Through EMI Central
After logging in:

  • Click the “Enroll Individual” tab at the top of the portal
  • Select your licensed state from the dropdown
  • You’ll be directed to a page with that state’s EMI Health plan options

This enrollment URL is tied to your broker account and tracks your enrollments. Leaving this page — such as for a provider search — will break the connection. Open a new browser tab or window to complete provider searches during enrollment.

Waiving Waiting Periods

To be considered, a waiver request must be submitted within 90 days of enrollment. Each case is reviewed individually.


Applicable waiting periods may be waived based on what the prior coverage allows. 

 

To request a waiting period waiver for your client, please submit a Certificate of Prior Coverage with the following manditory information:

 

  1. Coverage start and end dates
  2. Names of individuals covered (must match the enrollment timeline)
  3. Plan name and carrier — the certificate must be:
    • On the carrier’s letterhead, or
    • In an official email from the prior carrier
