Getting Appointed

Only licensed and appointed producers can sell EMI Health plans and receive commission. The online application covers everything — your Producer Agreement, HIPAA Business Associate Agreement, and licensee information are all completed within the form. One submission, and you're in process.

Reference Documents

Once appointed, you'll receive EMI Central login credentials by email. For setup and everything portal-related, see EMI Central Help for Group Brokers.

Group Plan Management Guide

Four versions. Pick the one that matches your group's state. Each guide covers eligibility, enrollment windows, COBRA and continuation rules, and compliance. Send it to your group administrators. It answers most of the questions they'd otherwise call you with.

The one window that matters

Annual Renewals

Renewal is the only window each year for plan changes — and the difference between a smooth renewal and a scramble is starting early. Work backward from these dates.

On time
WHY IT MATTERS
ID cards arrive before the effective date

Meeting the 30-day window gives us time to print and mail ID cards so employees have them when coverage starts.

Renewal dates vary by group. Your EMI Health representative will confirm the specific 75–90 day and 30-day windows for your group. Reach out early — we're here to help you compare options and make changes before the deadline.
